Hello, my name is Dan Kerkhoff, and I'm the owner of A-1 Sharpening Service. I live in De Pere, Wisconsin - I actually live next door to my business.

I bought this business in May of 1996, which was already called A-1 Sharpening Service.

The original owner lived in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and ran A-1 Sharpening Service as a side-business, working approximately 10 to 16 hours per week. Over the years, I have added to his existing customer list by word of mouth and with minimal advertising. I now operate A-1 Sharpening Service as a full-time business.

Initially, I wanted to upgrade one of my machines to a CC Machine for sharpening cold saws. With a little hard-work and additional investment, I was able to purchase a machine with more capability, accuracy, and higher speed.

Fast turn-around time and competitive prices has enabled my customer base to grow. My customer base is as small the neighbor-next-door; and as large as a corporation that sells world-wide.
